Bridal Party Amenities
Use of air-conditioned Bridal Suite & Farm Cottage for day use
Groom’s lakeside quarters for day use. Includes a 65” tv, couches and a full fridge (perfect for catching the big game while you get ready).
Vendors
No exclusivity around other service providers
Arrangements for other services (caterer, musician, officiant, etc.) shall be the responsibility of the Client and managed through separate agreement. We are happy to provide suggested vendors if desired!
We highly recommend a wedding coordinator. Venue owners on-site to assist with venue needs only. We are happy to provide planners familiar with McDowall Acres or if needed, we can provide day-of coordination as an additional add-on.
Tables & Chairs
We can provide the following for use:

White chairs for use during the ceremony and the reception site

Availability
The North Georgia mountains are beautiful for outdoor weddings and we do provide indoor capacity in our barn for receptions, weddings or inclement weather, but it is not heated. We have patio heaters for rent, but we are closed from Thanksgiving until late March due to the cold temperatures.
Also, we only host one wedding a weekend in order to provide couples our full attention and time needed. Visit our calendar to see availability.
Rules & Regulations
No open flames inside the barn. Sparklers are ok for use outside the barn upon couple exit.
Don’t allow artificial flower petals to be thrown outside by flower girls.
While we invite you to explore our property, this is still a working farm. Children are not to be left unattended.
Events must end by 10 pm and breakdown to be complete by 11 pm. Premises close at 11 pm.

Is there road noise?
Unlike many other local venues that are next to busy roadways, we are quietly nestled in private property that adjoins National Forest. You won’t have any distractions, except maybe a horse whinny or two.
Do you allow more than one wedding a weekend?
No. We like to provide couples the focus and time they need for the weekend.
Can our dog walk down the aisle?
Sure! Your furry friend is welcome to be a part of the bridal party.
